LaCroix Pamplemousse Sparkling Water Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

LaCroix Pamplemousse Sparkling Water

— Whether it’s a tangy soda or a cool refreshing seltzer, every potion has it’s own personality. LaCroix’s Pamplemousse Sparkling Water certainly has its own flavor palate and taste. What is pamplemousse, you ask? It is French for grapefruit and it certainly has made this sparkling water sound fancier with its name. This gentrified name confuses you to the contents in the can until you actually sip it. It is very citrusy and that is the first thing that stands out. It has normal fizz levels and it’s “grapefruity” aroma and flavor is also pretty regular. But it has a sharp finish that wakes you up and immediately makes you take notice of this unassuming grapefruit sparkling water.

Good For Grapefruit Lovers

LaCroix has known to be the “it” drink of millennials with hundreds of them switching to low sugar and sugar‐free options. However with its very peculiar and esoteric taste this particular drink might be best suited for grapefruit fans. It might not have everyone reaching for it at a pool party but those who love the taste will find themselves going back again and again. It has a pleasant sweetness to it and a citrusy tangy bouquet to it that makes you feel like you are walking in a grapefruit orchard. If you like grapefruit flavored sparkling waters, this is not a bad choice.

LaCroix Pamplemousse Sparkling Water Makes A Respectable Cocktail Mixer

Gin seems to be the alcoholic beverage of the season with fancy cocktails being crafted with it. And LaCroix Pamplemousse Sparkling Water works fantastically with gin to make delicious lip smacking and stylish drinks. It tastes great chilled and is a sophisticated and adult addition to your pool or beach cooler. It’s also great replacement for champagne with orange juice for a frisky and bubby brunch beverage. We also love this with vodka and a dash of cranberry juice finished with a twist of lemon. This drink is vegan, gluten free and approved for the Whole 30 diet. It has no artificial additives and is naturally “essenced.” It is great drink for someone who wants to kick their sugary cola habit without giving up the playful bubbles.

May Be Worth A Gamble

When compared to other La Croix seltzer reviews, its safe to say that you might not love this drink as much as some of the brand’s other options. Unless that is, you love grapefruit. But with zero calories and no sugar or sodium, we think it’s still a pretty refreshing drink to try, and certainly one of the best executed grapefruit flavors we’ve tried. One other thing to note is that it’s sweeter than grapefruit but still has its characteristic sourness that is absent in most other seltzers. It’s tangy with an almost Juicy Fruit chewing gum‐like taste. Does that make it a good thing? Well it depends on whether you like Juicy Fruit chewing gum or not. It also has a strong after taste to it which may need to be acquired by some – but if you are a grapefruit fan this drink is pretty much completely up your alley. LaCroix Pamplemousse Sparkling Water is a bold choice with its distinct flavor and aftertaste, but it’s a gamble that pays off for the true grapefruit lover…with or without a splash of gin.
