Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails

Mango Mojito and Strawberry Margarita

Sparkling Iced Spiked just announced that they are releasing two brand new cocktail-inspired flavors for the summer season. Summer is an important season for hard seltzer fans. It’s the season of vacations, whether that vacation is to a tropical paradise or your backyard. It’s the season of celebrating with friends, whether due to a holiday, a life event, or just delighting in the warm weather. And most importantly, it’s the season of hard seltzer flavor releases. This season, premiere brand Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails released two new flavors, Strawberry Margarita and Mango Mojito.

Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails intends both creations to give you a tropical experience in a can. And that’s what they do. Drinking either of these delectable beverages transports you to a white sand beach with clear blue water lapping at your toes. We tasted and reviewed these new flavors, and now we’re lucky enough to get the inside scoop from Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails on how they came up with their flavors.

A Little About Sparkling Ice Spiked

As fans of both quality seltzer and hard seltzer, Sparkling Ice and Sparkling Ice Spiked have long been favorites of ours at Seltzer Nation. We’ve reviewed their original flavors, including Lemonade RefresherStrawberry Citrus SmashCherry Lime Chiller, and Ruby Fizz (a rebrand of flavor Grapefruit Splash). We featured their products in our Top 10 Traditional Style and our Top 10 Specialty & Seasonal Hard Seltzers of 2021. Sparkling Ice Spiked’s flavor-variety 12-packs are available nationwide. Their original flavors contain 0 grams of sugar, 1 gram of carbohydrates, and 80 calories. All of their products are gluten-free. Based in Washington, the brand embraces their Pacific Northwest culture with cheeky Instagram posts, hilarious and delicious recipes, and photos and videos of backpackers, surfers, and skiers enjoying their bubbly beverages.

A Long History in Seltzer

Sparkling Ice Spiked is a hard seltzer line from Sparkling Ice, a flavorful seltzer brand. In a study by Statista in 2021, Sparkling Ice was ranked the highest-selling seltzer brand in the United States. With international reach and 17 popular flavors, Sparkling Ice uses their power for good through “innovative carbon reduction initiatives, positive social programs, and philanthropic support…”. And their flavors are taking the world by storm. With their growing popularity came the idea of spiking their flavorful seltzers. According to Sparkling Ice Spiked’s website, Sparkling Ice took note of the fact that their customers have been mixing their drinks with alcohol since the late 80s. “We saw what you were doing,” the brand writes, “and we decided to make it easier for you.”

How Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails Came Up with their New Flavors

Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails had a long process in coming up with ideas for their new pack. First, their research and development team did extensive research into contemporary consumer preferences to decipher which flavors to launch. During their research, both strawberry margarita and mango mojito scored high in consumer tests. People couldn’t get enough of them. The team at Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails thought that these two flavors were so original that they needed their own flavor pack. This brought about the Cocktails Pack, featuring these two tropical offerings.

Sparkling Ice Spiked CocktailsWhen developing their new flavors, the brand wanted to make sure Strawberry Margarita and Mango Mojito tasted like an actual cocktail you would have on the beach. The development team was able to capture the flavors of the tequila and rum cocktails without actually including any hard spirits. Their efforts led to a delicious and authentic cocktail flavor without jeopardizing the low sugar and calories that many hard seltzer consumers are looking for.

Strawberry Margarita

Margaritas are the most popular cocktail in the United States of America. They are the most ordered cocktail at restaurants and bars, and they’re the top-selling choice in ready-to-drink cocktails. Overall, the margarita is the reigning queen of cocktails. People just love that taste, and, therefore, it’s even more important to get that taste right. Anything overly sweet or fake tasting just won’t do. That’s why we were so delighted to discover that Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails Strawberry Margarita tastes like fresh strawberries with a squeeze of lime. This hard seltzer is a medium carbonation beverage with a pretty pink color. Even though this drink has a higher-than-average alcohol content, we detected no boozy flavor. This is just a taste of our full impressions. To find out more, read our review of Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails Strawberry Margarita.

Mango Mojito

Mango Mojito Sparkling Ice Spiked CocktailsCreated in Cuba, the mojito cocktail is a quintessentially tropical drink. Mix all of that tropical sun with mango, and you have a cocktail that transports you directly to the Caribbean. This magical drink is popular all over the world. Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails Mango Mojito is a pale-yellow hard seltzer with medium carbonation. The delicious and natural mix of flavors invites you to have more than one. Similar to the Strawberry Margarita, this offering has a higher-than-average alcohol content at 6% abv, and yet, you can’t taste the alcohol. Tropical Delight

The first thing you’ll notice about Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails’ brand new cocktail-inspired flavors are their cans. These full-color, tropical-inspired cans are something to behold. But it’s what’s inside of that can that counts. That’s why Sparkling Ice Spiked Cocktails makes their Strawberry Margarita and Mango Mojito with alcohol made from pure cane sugar. Each drink has 120 calories per can, 0 grams of sugar, and just 2 grams of carbohydrates.

Sparkling Ice Spiked CocktailsIn keeping with a cocktail feel, both of these tropical cocktail-inspired hard seltzers have a higher-than-average abv of 6%. To put that into perspective, a 6% ABV is the average alcohol content for IPAs but still comes in lower than the average mixed margarita (22.5% ABV) as a refreshing option to sip on. The brand describes their Mango Mojito as “Tangy, tropical flavors mixed to perfection.” For their Strawberry Margarita, they inspire you to “Sip away to paradise with our Strawberry Margarita, the perfect blend in a can.” The beverages are available in flavor-variety 12-packs at select locations across the United States.
