Sparkling Water Maker Aims to Deliver a Spiked Sparkling Water Using Real Fruit and Real Color

— Spindrift has been in the non-alcoholic seltzer water space for more than ten years now with its flavored sparkling waters made using real squeezed fruit. Today the company has announced the introduction of Spindrift Spiked, a spiked sparkling water made using only real ingredients and no additional sweeteners or artificial flavors.

With consumer standards rising for real, quality ingredients and more awareness about what’s actually in their drinks, Spindrift founder and CEO, Bill Creelman, saw an opportunity to expand.

“When we entered the flavored sparkling water category, there were hundreds of brands, all made with ‘natural flavors’, clear liquids, and no real ingredients – leading to very few real options for consumers. In the hard seltzer category, we saw many of the same characteristics.”

“Spindrift Spiked breaks the hard seltzer mold: we feature simple ingredients, prominently on the front panel. The liquid has color like the fruit, huge dimension of flavor, plus no added synthetics or fillers”

Spindrift Spiked Sparkling Water is made with sparkling water, alcohol from fermented cane sugar, and juice from real squeezed fruit. Nothing more. A 10-day fermentation process is used to achieve a 4% ABV without having to use additives.

Flavors will include Mango, Lime, Pineapple, and Half & Half which is real squeezed lemon with brewed black tea. Calories per 12 ounce can will range from 82 to 95 depending on the flavor.

Spindrift Spiked with be available in mid-April in select markets including Boston, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
