Minute Maid Spiked Wine-Based Ready-to-Serve Cocktails

When most people think of Minute Maid, they think of breakfast with the family. When we think of Minute Maid, it’s mimosa brunches and homemade juice cocktails. Clearly, we’re not the only ones mixing in a little booze. According to a statement put out by a Coca-Cola subsidiary, Red Tree Beverages, Minute Maid fans have been mixing their favorite juice with alcohol for years. Taking a cue from their fans, the Coca-Cola Co. decided to release a new line of Minute Maid Ready-to-Serve (RTS) Cocktails. Minute Maid Spiked, a wine-based RTS cocktail, will be hitting shelves as soon as Spring 2024.

Coca-Cola’s Dive into the Alcoholic Beverage Market

The Coca-Cola Co. owns nearly three dozen of the most popular non-alcoholic beverage brands on the market. They have a wide portfolio from water to iced tea to juice to, of course, soda. In the past two years, Coca-Cola has leveraged its brand names and popularity to release alcoholic versions of several of its most popular drinks. We’ve seen six of its brands turn boozy, including Topo Chico, Coca-Cola, Peace Tea, Simply, Fresca, and, in early 2024, Sprite. Minute Maid Spiked marks a change in Coca-Cola’s portfolio as these drinks will be the beverage company’s first wine-based product. As reported by Brewbound, a spokesman for Red Tree Beverages said, “Being wine based generally allows for broader channel availability at the retail level.” Hopefully, this will mean we’ll see these in more stores.

Everything We Know

Coca-Cola’s Minute Maid Spiked is the first solo product from Red Tree Beverages, the Coca-Cola subsidiary responsible for Coca-Cola’s alcoholic portfolio. LeVecke Corporation, a California-based wine and spirits copacker, will be producing the wine for these drinks. The beverage line will have three flavors, Lime Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Piña Colada. These will be available in 1.5-liter ready-to-serve bottles. The alcohol contents are at 13.9% ABV. Keep an eye out for these wine-based cocktails hitting shelves in Spring 2024, adding a delightful twist to your favorite flavors.
