Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz

Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz is Summer in a Can

Watermelon frosés (frozen rosé blended drinks) have become increasingly popular lately. Rosé is a wine usually consumed on warm summer days. Watermelon is considered by many to be the official fruit of summer. So when you combine rosé wine and watermelon together, you are basically creating summer in a drink. That’s why we were excited to see the Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz. It may be a rainy and cold January outside, but all the more reason to drink summery cocktails. We decided to give this wine spritz a try. There is a lot else intriguing about this spritzer as well, including the fact that this spritzer includes real watermelon juice. So, without further ado, here is our review with details about the flavor, ingredients, and overall experience this wine spritzer offers.

Tastes Like Fresh Watermelon

As soon as you open a can of Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz, you smell the sweet aroma of summer. The scent is as if you just cut into a fresh watermelon. When you take a sip, the first thing you will notice is the watermelon juice. It’s almost like you’re just sipping juice without any alcohol added. That said, the flavor is not too sweet. The rosé wine taste is minimal, although you can feel the alcohol effects if you drink an entire can. The rosé is not as prominent due to the strong watermelon flavor. Our reviewers also detected a taste of strawberry as well, particularly in the aftertaste. Overall, the flavor is delicate, but there is a kick that makes this wine spritz memorable.

Washington Rosé Wine with Watermelon Juice

The Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz contains Washington rosé wine, a splash of watermelon juice, and sparkling water. As mentioned, the rosé wine was not as noticeable as the watermelon. For those who prefer less of a wine taste, this may not be a bad thing. The alcohol by volume is 5%, so you should expect a fairly strong punch if you drink an entire can or more. There are 4 grams of sugar and 4 grams of carbs overall. However, there are only 100 calories per can. This wine spritz is also free from gluten. The sparkling water is a nice addition and helps create a lively drink with bubbles.

A Fancy Hard Seltzer for Casual Occasions

The overall vibe of the Coastal Rosé Watermelon Spritz is summery and casual. It is an interesting option for casual dinners with your significant other or while catching up with friends on a sunny day. It is also a nice option for pouring out of the can and over ice. This is ideal for wine lovers who want an alternative to traditional rosé. Overall, we recommend trying this one. Although the wine flavor may not be as prominent as you might hope, the flavor is overall very nice due to the watermelon juice and carbonation.
