Two Robbers Hard Seltzer is a brand with an interesting back story. Vik and Viv Nayar, the co-founders of the brand, had their house robbed twice while developing Two Robbers Hard Seltzer. This is what gave Two Robbers its name. Unpleasant events by any measure, yet they were able to turn something awful into something wonderful for their brand. Much like their backstory, the Two Robbers Black Cherry Lemon takes something sour and makes it sweet. It combines the sour taste of lemon with the sweet taste of black cherry for a combination that is both familiar and unique. This flavor concept is what led us to try the Two Robbers Black Cherry Lemon hard seltzer. Our drink testers here at Seltzer Nation all gave this canned hard seltzer a try and provided their thoughts. This review is a summary of our experience. 

A Unique and Interesting Flavor Combination

Two Robbers Black Cherry Lemon is an interesting flavor combination, combining the sweet flavor of black cherry with the tart taste of lemon. The first sip is a blast of black cherry, but then you notice the twist of lemon come in for a nice aftertaste. The aroma is noticeable as well and provides a mix of cherry and lemon. The carbonation is also excellent. There is a large quantity of bubbles that makes it feel like an authentic seltzer experience. If you like new and interesting flavor concepts for hard seltzer, then this is one you should give a try. It is a great balance between sweet and sour. 

Alcohol From Fermented Cane Sugar

Two Robbers makes its Black Cherry Lemon Hard Seltzer from sparkling water, alcohol from cold fermented cane sugar, black cherry extract, lemon extract, and citric acid. The combination of these ingredients creates a unique and delicious flavor. The alcohol content is 5.2% ABV, which is a little higher than average. These hard seltzers contain 110 calories per 12-ounce can. There is only 1 gram of carbs and no sugar. It is also gluten-free. This is an excellent option for seltzer lovers who want their beverages filled with natural flavor without added sugar. It is particularly an excellent choice for those who desire a low-carb adult beverage. The carbonation is also excellent due to the sparkling water, which adds life and keeps this hard seltzer from tasting flat. 

Delicious Flavor and Excellent Branding Make for a Great Experience

Black cherry and lemon are not a pairing you see every day. Yet, there is something delicious about the black cherry and lemon together. The sour taste of lemon combined with the sweet taste of black cherry is an excellent pair that provides a delicious (and unique) flavor. We really appreciated the branding of this hard seltzer. The cans are shorter than traditional hard seltzer canned beverages, but they are still 12 ounces. The artwork, in particular, is what made the branding fun. Due to this, we recommend drinking straight out of the can. Of course, you can also ditch the can as well and pour it into a glass with ice.
