Lytt Moroccan Mint Hard Tea is Unique and Delicious

Guaraná is a paste made from the seeds that grow in the Amazon Rainforest. The seeds have historically been used by people indigenous to the Amazon in rituals. However, Guaraná has become a popular additive to medicines, soft drinks, and energy drinks. This is because the seeds of the guaraná shrub have high levels of caffeine. While hard teas are growing in popularity, we have never seen guaraná in a hard seltzer. Therefore, we were surprised to find out that Lytt hard tea (pronounced “lit”) produced an alcoholic tea infused with Guaraná. Due to the unique ingredients and minty flavor, we knew we had to try Lytt Moroccan Mint Hard Tea. Here is our review.

A Fresh Hard Tea Powered by Spearmint Flavor

Lytt Moroccan Mint Hard Tea tastes like a spiked iced tea with spearmint added. As the name suggests, mint is the most prominent flavor. However, the distinctive flavor of green tea is highly noticeable with every sip also. The spearmint aroma hits you as soon as you open the can. The aroma and flavor offer a unique experience. Before testing this seltzer, one of our fears was that the mint might be overpowering. This is not the case at all. This hard tea offers a balanced taste with just the right amount of mint. We really enjoy the flavor, and there is a sweet aftertaste that is nice as well. The liquid of this hard seltzer has a similar color to green tea, so it looks great when poured over ice. The carbonation is relatively light. This may or may not be a good thing depending on your personal preference.

Organic Ingredients and Gluten-Free

LYTT Moroccan Mint contains only 1 gram of carbs and 0 grams of sugar. It is gluten-free, so it may be an appropriate option for adults who have a gluten allergy or certain dietary restrictions. Lytt makes its Moroccan Mint Hard Seltzer with carbonated water, sugar-brewed alcohol, organic cane alcohol, organic green tea (and green tea essence), natural spearmint flavor, guaraná seed extract, and fruit extract. Since it is made with green tea and guaraná, this hard tea likely also contains caffeine as well. Unfortunately, we were unable to discover how much caffeine this beverage has. The alcohol content is 5% ABV.

Calling All Herbal Tea Lovers

Green tea and mint are not your everyday hard seltzer flavor combination, which makes LYTT Moroccan Mint a great alternative to more traditional hard teas. Lytt Moroccan Mint feels like a beverage you would get at a spa. It offers a fresh smell and taste. The alcohol is relatively light, but there is enough there to notice it after one canned beverage. The non-traditional flavor combination may not be for everyone, however. As mentioned, mint lovers will enjoy this one, but it may not be ideal for those who do not enjoy a strong mint flavor. Nevertheless, it is an excellent option to store in your fridge when you are craving something delicious, fresh, and different.
