Grey Goose Essences Vodka Spritz

Grey Goose is a brand that has long been synonymous with luxury. It’s served at the best parties. It sits on the top shelf of most bars. Bartenders often charge $10 to $20 dollars for a drink with 2 oz of Grey Goose. And, now, we’re excited to tell you that Grey Goose is getting into the ready-to-drink game with Grey Goose Essences Vodka Spritz. It’s an unprecedented move for the opulent brand. Furthermore, they’ve chosen their innovative Essences line to make the move into canned cocktails. The ready-to-drink cocktails will take all three of the Grey Goose Essences flavors – Strawberry & Lemongrass, White Peach & Rosemary, and Watermelon & Basil.

Grey Goose takes Quality Seriously

There are many reasons that Grey Goose is synonymous with luxury, and it starts with their production. First, Grey Goose is created in France from two ingredients Picardie winter wheat and natural spring water. Second, the Picardie wheat farms come from regions in France where some farmers have been working the land for eleven generations. Third, the creator of the brand and cellar master, Francois Thibault, still oversees the vodka’s production today. Bacardi purchased the brand in 2004 but kept the original process of the brand intact, including the cellar master and the single-origin ingredients. And last, Grey Goose only distills their vodka once, and they state on their website, “If you need to distill more than once, you need better ingredients.”

Grey Goose Essences

Grey Goose is very careful with their flavor offerings. They have done special and limited editions, but, as of last year, the brand only features three permanent flavored vodkas. And, these vodkas are Grey Goose La Poire (pear), Grey Goose L’Orange (orange), and Grey Goose Le Citron (lemon). In April 2021, Grey Goose announced a line of three new flavored vodkas called Grey Goose Essences. This line is a long time coming as their last flavor release, Grey Goose Le Melon, was nearly a decade ago. At 30% abv, Essences had a lower alcohol by volume than Grey Goose’s 40% pear, lemon, and orange flavors. And, it’s the Essences line that Grey Goose choose over their other flavors for their upcoming ready-to-drink cocktails (rtd). Essences contain “real fruit and cold distilled botanicals“, which is an innovative flavor choice based on growing trends.

The vice-president of global marketing for Grey Goose states, “Spritzes and drinks featuring botanicals have been growing trends, and with consumers increasingly trying their hand at mixology, we knew there was an exciting opportunity to create a distinctive drink using real fruit essences that would take the guesswork out of mixing light tasting and delicious cocktails at home.”

Incoming Ready-to Drink Canned Cocktails

While this is the first venture into rtds for Grey Goose, the brand’s parent company, Bacardi, has a line of successful rum canned cocktails in six flavors. Grey Goose Essences Vodka Spritz should be hitting the shelves in June 2022. The rtd version will have Grey Goose Vodka, sparkling water, and small amounts of juice. These canned cocktails will have 79 calories per 8 oz can and a 4.5% alcohol by volume.
