We Tested Truly’s New Vodka Seltzers, and Here’s What We Found
Truly Hard Seltzer’s New Vodka Seltzers
Even though Truly Hard Seltzer is one of the Hard Seltzer industry leaders, it’s safe to say that they are a brand that’s never grown complacent with their top spot. The brand is famous for releasing new flavors and introducing new ideas. Still, Truly creates quite a stir with each “new flavor” announcement. And yet, we at Seltzer Nation have never seen such a flurry of excitement as we did for Truly’s newest innovation, Truly Vodka Seltzers. Ever since the news first broke in April 2022, Truly fans have been anxiously awaiting these vodka seltzers. Truly fans waited patiently, and on October 11th, 2022, Truly distributed Truly Vodka Seltzers across the nation. Now you can walk into your local liquor store and buy a pack of Truly Vodka Seltzers for your next social event or night in with your family.
But one question remains. Are Truly Vodka Seltzers any good?
Our tasters put these new drinks to the test, and we’re back to tell you everything you need to know.
Truly Vodka Seltzer Peach & Tangerine
Truly’s Peach & Tangerine Vodka Seltzer is one of the more familiar flavors of the pack. When you crack open the can, the scent of peach and citrus rises from the can. Pour your can over ice, and bubbles rise through the liquid. The carbonation is high, and the drink has a light orange tint. This, more than anything, gives these canned seltzers a cocktail vibe. As soon as you take a sip, the peach flavor tingles over your tastebuds. It’s a solid flavor with excellent carbonation. Thankfully, these Truly creations aren’t too boozy. In fact, you can barely taste the alcohol.
Truly Vodka Seltzer Blackberry & Lemon
Of the four flavors of vodka seltzer that Truly recently released, Blackberry & Lemon is the mildest. We’re not saying that mild as a bad quality for a seltzer. Both the lemon and berry flavors are light; however, the berry is more prominent than the lemon. When you open the can, you can definitely smell a berry aroma. The liquid has a pretty pink color when poured over ice, and the high level of carbonation is immediately apparent in the glass. The first flavor you experience is the berry, and the lemon comes after. Both flavors are mild, which is a nice change of pace in a market that’s leaning toward stronger and bolder flavors. This vodka seltzer is refreshing and not too boozy. Likely due to the real fruit juice in this drink, the flavors taste natural and leave a nice aftertaste.

Truly Vodka Seltzer Pineapple & Cranberry
Pineapple & Cranberry is definitely the most unique flavor in the Truly Vodka Seltzer Pack. We haven’t seen this combination before, and in the world of seltzer, that is getting increasingly rare. This vodka seltzer has a sweet pineapple aroma that you can scent as soon as you open the can. When poured over ice, this beverage has a pale pink color and a lot of bubbles. The flavor combination is interesting. Upon taking your first sip, the pineapple flavor comes first, and the cranberry comes in as slightly tart at the end. While the pineapple flavor is delicious, it doesn’t pair with the cranberry as well as we had hoped.
Truly Vodka Seltzer Cherry & Lime
Of all of the flavors in the Truly Vodka Seltzer Pack, Cherry & Lime is our top-rated and reviewed. This beverage smells like cherries and sweet candy. When you pour this vodka seltzer into a glass, the liquid is pink and filled with bubbles. This vodka seltzer tastes like a sweet and tart cherry. Truly nailed the cherry flavor. The lime is a much subtler flavor in this drink. It adds the slightest tanginess without being sour. The sweet and tart combo makes for the perfect pairing. If you like cherry and lime, this is a winner.
