Pear is delicious on its own. Now, imagine the addition of the enormous fruit flavors that kiwi, bergamot orange, and lemon provide (along with the nice complement of basil). This is the combination offered in Scarlet Letter Spiked Seltzer Pear, Kiwi, Bergamot, Basil, Lemon. Scarlet Letter took a bold risk with this hard seltzer. This drink is packed with five featured flavors. Initially, this seemed as if it may have been too much. However, we understood why they added so much flavor as soon as we took our first sip. We were enthused by the numerous flavors that this hard seltzer offers, along with a low alcohol-by-volume per can and very few carbs and calories. Our reviewers tested this hard seltzer. Below we summarize their experience.

Dominant Pear Flavor with Excellent Complementary Flavors

Drinking a can of Scarlet Letter Spiked Seltzer Pear, Kiwi, Bergamot, Basil, Lemon was truly a delicious experience. However, as expected, some of the ingredients stood out far more than the others. For instance, we did not taste the basil all that much (but there is a subtle taste of it there if you look for it). The pear is without question the most dominant flavor. The lemon serves as an excellent complement to the pear as well. There is a nice tart finish for each sip, presumably from the kiwi, lemon, and bergamot combination. We also picked up on the pear aroma more so than any of the other flavors. The aromatic presence of the pear was satisfying and adds to the overall vibe of this hard seltzer.

A Lower Calorie Hard Seltzer with Zero Sugar

If you want fewer calories and lower alcohol content for your hard seltzer, then look no further than Scarlet Letter Spiked Seltzer Pear, Kiwi, Bergamot, Basil, Lemon. This hard seltzer contains 4.3% alcohol-by-volume. This is low relative to the average canned hard seltzer. There are also only 84 calories, which makes it significantly lighter than the average hard seltzer as well. You can also take solace in the fact that there is less than one carb per can and 0 grams of sugar. It is, however, not gluten free. The ingredients include filtered water, alcohol from cane sugar, steviol glycosides, both natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, and cane sugar.

A Fancy and Sophisticated Hard Seltzer

The Scarlet Letter Spiked Seltzer Pear, Kiwi, Bergamot, Basil, Lemon features an incredibly sophisticated and rather complex flavor.  It is an incredibly unique hard seltzer that is filled with enormous flavor from a range of different ingredients. You almost do not know what to think at first as it combines so many flavors. However, one thing is certain from the first sip — it is a delicious experience. It is also incredibly light with less than 100 calories and 4.3% ABV. In other words, there is a lot to like about this hard seltzer, and we highly recommend it. You can enjoy these indoors as well as outdoors equally. They are great straight out of the can or poured into a cold glass or pitcher.
