Mighty Swell Grapefruit

Grapefruit is a relatively common fruit flavor that is found in hard seltzers. It has become so popular for a reason — it is tasty and pairs well with carbonation and alcohol. Mighty Swell Grapefruit Hard Seltzer features grapefruit flavor above all else. Although, there are other natural flavors included as well (including white grape juice, citric acid, and more). We were intrigued by this seemingly simplistic hard seltzer that has earned a solid reputation in the seltzer community. So, we decided to give it a try and leave our thoughts in this review. Overall, it is mighty tasty and exactly as advertised. Below is a more detailed description of our experience. 

An Authentic Grapefruit Hard Seltzer Experience

The feature that stands out the most about Mighty Swell Grapefruit is its tasty fresh citrus flavor. The grapefruit is highly prominent, but there are hints of numerous other citrus-filled flavors as well. Consequently, we found it to be sweeter than the average grapefruit hard seltzer. You taste the powerful flavor experience as soon as you take the first sip. The deliciousness hits you right away and the end taste may be even better. We were also struck by how great the aroma was as well. It smells like a natural grapefruit as if you had just opened one up and soaked up all of its juicy aromas. The carbonation was also excellent, which is precisely what you hope out of a traditional hard seltzer beverage. In other words, this hard seltzer by Mighty Swell checks all of the boxes for a fantastic hard seltzer. 

A Classic Hard Seltzer with 5% ABV

Mighty Swell makes its Grapefruit hard seltzer with purified carbonated water, alcohol, natural white grape juice from concentrate, citric acid, and natural flavors. This hard seltzer contains 2.5% juice. It is a relatively low calorie beverage (100 calories per can). We also appreciate that it is relatively low in sugar and carbohydrates as well. In fact, there are only 3 grams of carbs (all of which are from sugar). The alcohol content is similar to most hard seltzers at a 5% ABV. There is a subtle kick of alcohol but nothing overpowering for the casual hard seltzer drinker. Mighty Swell Grapefruit is also gluten-free.

Delicious Grapefruit Hard Seltzer with No Surprises

We really enjoyed Mighty Swell Grapefruit, and we highly recommend it for hard seltzer lovers. It is fairly traditional in the sense that it combines one of the more popular flavors with alcohol. However, we enjoyed this as there are no surprises. In other words, what you see is what you get with this hard seltzer by Mighty Swell. It is also relatively light with only 100 calories, 3 grams of sugar, and a 5% ABV. We recommend this citrusy, grapefruit-inspired beverage straight out of the can or poured over the rocks. They are an excellent choice if you are traveling to the beach, the pool, or your friends house (and other outdoor areas). They are delicious directly out of the cooler.
