High Noon Reviews

High Noon Hard Seltzer, formally referred to as High Noon Sun Sips, first hit shelves in May 2019, and was available in all 50 states by 2021. It’s made by beverage powerhouse E. & J. Gallo Winery, which produces 130 popular brands of wine and spirits sold around the world.

Unlike most hard seltzers on the market, High Noon’s 4.5% alcohol content by volume comes from vodka rather than malt liquor or fermented cane sugar, which reviewers say gives the beverage a cleaner taste. High Noon was the first brand to use vodka and has went on to score top marks in hard seltzer reviews and product roundups since it launched its first four flavors.

“The consumer response to High Noon has been off the charts, and we continue to strengthen our portfolio to solidify our position within the category, capitalizing on key consumer trends and flavor gaps across key category flavors,” said  Britt West, vice president and general manager for E. & J. Gallo Spirits in a prepared statement.

High Noon holds a unique position in a very crowded hard seltzer market, and it’s also been able to capitalize on the ongoing hard seltzer trend as well as the exploding demand for canned cocktails. Its media partnership with Barstool Sports also spread the word about the fizzy beverage to young adults just ahead of summer 2020.

High Noon Hard Seltzer eventually expanded to include a line of seven flavors. By 2021, it was the third most popular hard seltzer brand in the country, according to alcohol inventory management platform, Backbar.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is High Noon Hard Seltzer?

High Noon Hard Seltzer is made by family-owned beverage giant E. & J. Gallo Winery, which has been producing wine and spirits since 1933.

High Noon Hard Seltzer is different than many other popular hard seltzers on the market because it’s the first brand to use vodka rather than malt liquor or fermented cane sugar to achieve an alcohol content.

The vodka used in High Noon is made from U.S.-grown corn and distilled five times to achieve a sipping experience that’s often described as lighter and smoother than other hard seltzers.

High Noon Hard Seltzer also uses sparkling water for carbonation and mixtures of real fruit juice to achieve its flavors rather than added sugar.

Each 12-ounce can of High Noon Hard Seltzer is gluten-free, contains 100 calories, about 2.5 grams of carbs, and a 4.5% alcohol content by volume.

“High Noon answers the increasing demand for beer alternatives driven by health and ingredient-conscious consumers looking for low calorie, more sessionable beverages,” said Britt West, Vice President of Marketing for Gallo Spirits. “Unlike the malt-based and artificially flavored offerings that are currently dominating the Hard Seltzer category, High Noon is made with real vodka, real juice, has low calories, low ABV, low sugar and gluten-free.”

What comes in a High Noon variety pack?
